Tawa Pulao Recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked basmati rice (cooled)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 capsicum, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1–2 green chilies, slit
  • 2 tbsp butter (or oil)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp pav bhaji masala
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  • Heat butter on a tawa or pan. Add cumin seeds.
  • Sauté onions until golden, then add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies.
  • Add tomatoes and cook till soft.
  • Add capsicum, turmeric, red chili powder, pav bhaji masala, and salt. Sauté 2–3 min.
  • Add cooked rice, mix gently so grains stay separate.
  • Sprinkle coriander and a squeeze of lemon juice.
  • Serve hot with raita or papad.
