Tawa Pulao Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked basmati rice (cooled)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1 capsicum, chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1–2 green chilies, slit
- 2 tbsp butter (or oil)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp pav bhaji masala
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
- Heat butter on a tawa or pan. Add cumin seeds.
- Sauté onions until golden, then add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies.
- Add tomatoes and cook till soft.
- Add capsicum, turmeric, red chili powder, pav bhaji masala, and salt. Sauté 2–3 min.
- Add cooked rice, mix gently so grains stay separate.
- Sprinkle coriander and a squeeze of lemon juice.
- Serve hot with raita or papad.
